Overall, the goals and intentions of BCF STEEL are to achieve the following principles:
- Improve our health, safety, and environmental protection performance through the use of self-audits, corrective actions, and internal improvement activities.
- Continually improve our operations in an environmentally safe manner.
- Assess the associated high risks and implement the necessary control measures to either eliminate or minimize them.
- Communicate and consult with our employees, interested parties, and stakeholders.
- Provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain our equipment and facilities to prevent injuries to people and damage to the environment or property.
- Investigate all accidents and incidents with a view to identifying root causes and preventing recurrence.
- Monitor, review, and report on our health, safety, and environmental performance regularly.
- Adhere to defined control practices, operational procedures, and safety standards.
- Work towards the prevention of occupational injury, ill health, property damage, and environmental pollution by defining and reviewing objectives and measurable targets.
- Prevent pollution, reduce waste and resource consumption (materials, fuel, and energy), and recycle materials wherever possible to minimize our environmental impact.
- Comply with all applicable statutory and legal requirements in a transparent and socially responsible manner.
- Train and communicate this HSE policy effectively to employees and stakeholders, emphasizing individual HSE responsibilities and obligations.
